My Ethereal Icons are joyful contemporary folk art versions of those well known old school Holy Cards that depict Jesus, Mary, Angels and Saints. I pay special attention to each Icon’s recognizable attributes that would make them identifiable. There are many Saints too!
If one of my paintings elicits feelings of comfort, joy and most importantly that feeling of being loved, my work is done. I am not, or try to be a fine artist. My wheelhouse is, and will remain in folk art.
